    Iain Anderson

    Iain Anderson:
    FCA Head coach, Iain Anderson, has been coaching swimming for 15 years; he has taught swimming to all ages for over 20 years. He is the Aquatics Director at Friends' Central School where he coaches high school swimming and high school water polo. He has been an age group, collegiate, and master's swimmer. He holds a BA from Connecticut College, an MFA from NYU, and is a Level IV member of American Swim Coaches Association.
     

    Iain Anderson

    Max Bernard:

    Max Bernard is an assistant swim coach at FCA. He is a graduate of Vassar College where he received his B.A. in Mathematics. Max joins the team and swim school staff as an alum.  He swam for the Friends’ Central School varsity team and was part of the League Championship Friends’ Central School varsity teams in 2006, 2007, and 2008. He then swam for four years on the Vassar varsity team.  Max was an Assistant Age Group Swim Coach for the Devilfish Aquatics for 3 years before moving back to the area. With 6 years of swim school instruction experience as well, Max is excited to share what he has learned with the next generation of swimmers. 

     

    Sean Ford

    Sean Ford:
    Sean Ford received his B.S. in Physical Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where swam before becoming one of the team’s Undergraduate Assistant Coaches. He swam, ran track and played soccer in high school. He was a two-year captain of the swim team and captain of the soccer team his senior year. Sean took over the Parkersburg YMCA team in 2008. While there he coached the Senior and Advanced Age Group Swimmers. His swimmers were state champions, zone champions, and USA “Top 10” swimmers with over a dozen number one times in the nation. He also coached a swimmer to a national record in the 11-12 100 Free. Sean is a Level III member of the American Swim Coaches Association.

    Tracy Alt

    Tracy Ford:
    Tracy Ford has been coaching swimming for 10 years. For the past four years Tracy was the Head Junior Age group coach for the Parkersburg YMCA team where she coached a number of age group high point state champions and USA “Top 100” 10 & Under swimmers. Tracy was also the Head Coach for the Parkersburg High School team before accepting the position at FCA. She graduated in 2007 with a B.A. in Secondary Education with her specialization in Physical Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College. At Wesleyan, Tracy was a member of the tennis and swim teams and a captain of the women's swim team her senior year. As a graduate of Parkersburg High School, she was a member of the soccer, tennis, and swim teams, as well as a captain for the swim team all three years. Tracy has a long background as a swim instructor, lifeguard, and is a certified lifeguard instructor. She is a Level II member of the American Swim Coaches Association.  

    Victoria Gillison

    Olivia Gillison:
    Olivia Gillison is an Assistant Swim Coach at Friends’ Central Aquatics. She began her swimming career with FCA at the age of eight (8) in the Novice Group and swam all the way through high school, at Friends’ Central, and collegiately, at Ohio Wesleyan University. Olivia graduated from OWU Cum Laude with degrees in Geography, Environmental Studies and Urban Studies. Olivia has worked with young swimmers for more than 10 years including FCA Swim School, FCS Summer Camp and OWU’s Bishop Bubbles program. She has had many successes in being a part of record breaking relay’s through high school and college, as well as holding individual records. She is excited to continue her love for the sport of swimming through coaching the next generation at FCA.
     

    Victoria Gillison

    Victoria Gillison:
    Victoria Gillison has been an FCA Swim School instructor for eight years. She is a graduate of Friends' Central School and is currently studying Psychology and Women's Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She was a four-year Varsity high school swimmer at FCS during which she set multiple records and was on the FSL Championship team for four consecutive years. She is also a former year around FCA swimmer--which she started when she was nine years old. Victoria is excited to broaden her horizons with coaching at FCA and looks forward to helping her swimmers enjoy the sport of competitive swimming and help them continue to evolve as people.
     

    Meaghan Harrington

    Meaghan Harrington:
    Meaghan Harrington is senior at Saint Joseph’s University, where she majors in finance and accounting. Meaghan has fourteen years of swimming experience. She grew up swimming for Lower Moreland Swimming and Diving, and then the Jersey Wahoos. She attended Nazareth Academy High School, where she was also on the swim team. At Nazareth, Meaghan became an All-State and All-State Honorable Mention swimmer in various events. At Saint Joseph’s University, Meaghan was a member of the Women’s Rowing Team. While on the rowing team she was named to the Atlantic 10 Honor Roll. Prior to FCA, Meaghan coached at the Philadelphia Quartette Swim Club, where she worked with swimmers of all ages and all abilities.
     

    Kerry Sherin

    Kerry Sherin-Porter:
    Kerry Sherin-Porter is the co-head coach for the Junior I squad. Kerry has been teaching and coaching in the Delaware County area for over 25 years and she has been with FCA since the summer of 2003. Kerry is a swim parent as well as a coach (two of her sons swam for FCA and one went one to become a nationally ranked breaststroker at West Chester University). Kerry has taught/coached swimming at the JCC Kaiserman, the Suburban Swim Center, and the Valley Forge Military Academy. Kerry has a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University and plays professionally with a string quartet and Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra. Kerry is also a member of the ASCA.

    Tracy Alt

    Mary Stroman:
    Mary Stroman is the Head Coach of FCA's Team Phoenix at Bryn Mawr College. She is also an assistant age group coach at FCA.  She is a graduate of Friends’ Central School and Washington College where she received her B.A. in Psychology. A former swimmer of FCA, she was a four-year varsity swimmer for FCS, and continued swimming for the varsity team at Washington College where she served as a team captain for her senior year. She has been working with young swimmers for 8 years, and is looking forward to helping swimmers achieve their personal goals while having fun at the same time.
